On the road to success with epoxy resins,
automotive engineering.
A car based on mechanical principles has long been a phase-out model. In today’s cars, more and more very modern technology is being installed. The consequence: Automobile electrics and electronics are becoming more and more important in vehicle engineering. On board in the car: products by EPOXONIC. Epoxy resins here play a convincing role due to their high temperature stability as well as their chemical resistance – for example against fuels, mineral oil, antifreezing agents and road salt. Temperature change can do as little harm to epoxy resins as soiled surfaces can. Because they also adhere to oiled steel sheets for example. Epoxy resins are very suitable for large-scale serial processing in automated production lines.
Application examples:
- Tough, chemical-resistant potting resins are suited for sensors, e.g. speed sensors (EPOXONIC 344).
- Flexible potting resins with long-term thermal stability up to 150°C are used in the engine compartment, e.g. for ultrasonic sensors (EPOXONIC 361).
- To ensure the full functionality of the PTC ceramics, aluminium ohmic pastes are used.
